Description

Intended for K-grade 5. Learn about the importance of recycling and help sort through materials to determine what can be recycled. Discover another option – composting – and find out why it’s important and how it works. Follow the compost recipe to make a compost sandwich and reinforce learning with a fast-paced relay game to practice deciding if an item should go in the trash, recycling, or compost bin. Registration opens two weeks before program. Collaborator: University of Minnesota Master Gardeners. Sponsor: MELSA (Metropolitan Library Service Agency).
